ECA Partners With Green Sports Alliance

We are excited to announce that Eugene Civic Alliance is now a member of the Green Sports Alliance (GSA)! This partnership allows us to promote the mission of the GSA while also strengthening our own vision of creating a sustainable sports facility for our community.

The Green Sports Alliance was created in 2010 with the purpose of “leveraging the cultural and market influence of sports to promote healthy, sustainable communities where we live and play.” Their work in promoting renewable energy, water efficiency, healthy food, recycling, species preservation, safer chemicals, and other “environmentally preferable” practices has inspired sports teams and venues around the country to join the Alliance and help promote healthier communities and a healthier world.

As we continue planning for the new Civic Park, we are thrilled to be able to draw on the resources the Green Sports Alliance provides and to design and operate a facility that is beneficial for our community and the environment.
