ECA Selects Contractor for Civic Park Project

Eugene Civic Alliance has selected Chambers Construction to build the new Civic Park project. The firm was selected from three finalists who submitted proposals in response to ECA’s formal request for qualifications. Chambers joins the team that includes Robertson/Sherwood Architects/pc and Skylab Architecture who will design and build the new community sports venue.

“We are excited to bring Chambers Construction onto the team,” said Jon Anderson, ECA Board President. “They have deep experience working in the community on important projects that deliver quality and longstanding value.”

Over the next few months, the Civic Park team will be completing work on Phase 1 to establish the schematic design and overall project cost. The process will also help ECA define a revised budget for Phase II—the detailed design and construction of the Kidsports Fieldhouse, turf field and 2,500-seat stadium. Chambers will also begin to identify key milestones for the construction phase of Civic Park. Progress updates will be available on the ECA website.
