Civic Park $3 million closer to Phase 1 finish line

We are $3 million closer to finishing Phase 1 of Civic Park thanks to a challenge grant gifted by the McKenzie Oaks Ranch Fund of Oregon Community Foundation!

Our supporters continued to donate throughout the pandemic, tallying more than $2 million by the end of 2020. Thanks to your support thousands of children in our area will benefit from our new recreation facility that includes the 40,000 sq. ft. Kidsports Fieldhouse, a FIFA-regulation-sized turf field, flexible asphalt, and two outdoor sports courts.

In addition to $2 million in contribution from donors like you, the McKenzie Oaks Ranch Fund of Oregon Community Foundation gifted $1 million. They matched $1 for every $2 donated from June through December of 2020.

“The community met the challenge and then some,” says Jon Anderson, president. “We’re not done yet! In 2021, ECA will complete the funding of Phase 1, then move to fundraise for Phase 2 – the building of a permanent stadium at the field.”

We have $1.3 million left to raise for the completion of Phase 1. Phase 2 will add a 2,500-seat grandstand, a digital scoreboard, and an upper deck to accommodate a food court and other amenities.

Together, we are building a community space that will foster and create memories for generations to come. For notification, updates follow us on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter.
